- Betreiben, Administrieren und Optimieren der NTS internen Microsoft Server Systeme, des Active Directories, sowie unserer Cloud Umgebungen
- Verwaltung unserer Virtualisierungstechnologien (VMware)
- Umsetzung von IT-Security Maßnahmen
- Implementierung und Verwaltung unserer Datacenter-Lösungen und -Architekturen mit besonderem Augenmerk auf Sicherheitsaspekte
- Implementierung und Überwachung von Sicherheits- und Compliance-Maßnahmen in der Server- und Datacenterumgebung
- Sicherstellen der Serviceverfügbarkeit (Monitoring)
- Unterstützung und Fehlerbehebung bei komplexen technischen Problemen
- Weiterentwickeln der internen Infrastruktur basierend auf den Anforderungen der Fachbereiche und der IT-Roadmap, aber auch durch das Einbringen eigener Ideen
- Dokumentation der Systeme und Prozesse, Implementierung sinnvoller KPI’s für den Betrieb
- Zusammenarbeit und Training des Servicemanagement Teams

- Mitarbeit im Bereich Infrastruktur des Informationsmanagements mit dem Schwerpunkt IT- Forschungsdateninfrastruktur
- Erhebung und Analyse der Anforderungen aus unterschiedlichen Forschungsprojekten
- Optimierung und Weiterentwicklung der bestehenden High Performance Computing (HPC) Systeme
- Mitarbeit bei nationalen und internationalen Projekten und Initiativen im Bereich HPC und digitaler Forschungsinfrastruktur (VSC, EOSC, EGI, etc.)
- Aufbau und Pflege von Partnerschaften zur IT-Forschungsinfrastruktur
- Technisches Projektmanagement von Projekten der IT-Forschungsinfrastruktur
- Mitgestaltung der Systemarchitektur und Optimierung der Systeme hinsichtlich Kosten-Nutzen
