Ihre Aufgaben:
- Forschungstätigkeit im Bereich der numerischen Mathematik unter besonderer Berücksichtigung von HPC-Lösungmethoden für PDEs und Machine Learning in Anwendungen. Diese Forschungen werden eines oder mehrere der folgenden Gebiete umfassen:
- Anwendung und Adaption vorhandener numerischer Open Source HPC-Software auf die Problemstellungen.
- Weiterentwicklung der Parameterbestimmung für PDEs und deren Integration in Open Source Projekte.
- Ausbau der Machine Learning Expertise am Institut.
- Verbindung von HPC und maschinellem Lernen.
- Mitarbeit in der Arbeitsgruppe Scientific Computing und in existierenden Kooperationen in BioTechMed und der Initiative COLIBRI. Etablierung weiterer Kooperationen auf diesem Gebiet.
- Selbstständige Durchführung von Lehrveranstaltungen im Bereich der Angewandten Mathematik, Betreuung von Studierenden und Abhaltung von Prüfungen.
- Mitwirkung bei Organisations- und Verwaltungsaufgaben.
